Bruno Walter's recording with the New York Philharmonic is unusual in that it was released with a recording of the 4th movement he felt did not have the correct balance between the chorus and orchestra, and then had the 4th movement recorded again four years later in a different place. The mis-match is quite noticeable, too. When the new version was issued in 1954, Columbia Records made the unusual move of accepting the old copies back and offering a free replacement in exchange.
